About Maca Ranch
Our Story
Maca Ranch is a family owned and operated farm in Turtle Valley, BC, pasture raising beef, pork, lamb, and chickens.
Married duo - Curtis & Ashley Johnson, both B.C. born & raised, are the primary care takers of the animals.
We craved a lifestyle where everything was more meaningful, simple, and healthful. We love the idea of being involved in a process from the beginning to the end, such as raising and caring for our animals, or the endless tasks around the farm.
We are completely invested, and it feels good – we are happy farmers, and we are fulfilled farmers.
We are so grateful for all the support, and we hope you will continue following along as we navigate this lively farm-life.
Fun fact: Maca is an acronym of the first names of all the owners Mike - Andrea - Curtis - Ashley.
Our Products
We offer a wide variety of meat, including pork, beef, lamb, and chicken. All of our animals are ethically and humanely raised without the use of hormones, steroids, or antibiotics to ensure that our customers receive the freshest and healthiest products possible.
Our Farming Practices
At Maca Ranch, we believe in sustainable farming practices that promote the health of our land, our animals, and our customers.
We rotate our pastures and avoid the use of pesticides and unnatural fertilizers.
We prefer raising our animals in small batches. This allows us to connect and be present with our animals.
